Mistakes happen....

I tried to upload a single page to my website so I could use the URL's to post pictures on the new Spiritual Networks site which is limiting it's storage space. Instead the whole new website got uploaded and replaced my old one. Which really wasn't that old, but it has over 150 pages to it and even I got lost with over 200 necklaces for sale. I need to stay small and controlled. THIS is the new site. I still have a lot of work to do.

Forgotten Necklaces

Looking through some old boxes of necklaces I picked out a few to make new photos of. The first one is called Enchanted Forest. The beads are red Agate and New Jade.

The next necklace is called Sweet Dreams Necklace. Again I am using red and green Agate. There is also Moss Agate and black Obsidian beads.

Below is a necklace I named "My Blessings". If I count the things that are good about my life instead of concentrating on the negative I am much happier. The nuggets are Fancy Jasper.

I love taking walks in the woods. I admit that I talk to trees. It puts me in touch with Mother Nature. This necklace below is called Fantasy Forest. A great deal of inspiration comes from the trees I talk to. And no, they don't talk back. At least not in audible words. The yellowish clear beads are Citrine. Citrine is called "the stone of the mind"

Below is my necklace called "Wild Flowers". Green and red Agate, wood, Unakite, Amethyst, Aventurine and Citrine. Very colorful and wild.

The last necklace here is called "Letting Go Necklace". For me it represents letting go of control and letting things happen as they are meant to. Trusting God.

Well, that's a lot of work for one post. I am ready to make a new necklace. I will be back when it's finished.

Mother Earth

It would be easy for me to slip into a depression when I look at the way people are rushing about, the traffic, folks buying things they can't afford, frowning, quick to flip me off. I have to separate myself. I back off and let the speeding train go by. I look at the trees and pray for peace of mind. It works most of the time. I have my beading room. AC on and a fan, cold glass of lemon tea. Red Rose. I get to pick out the beads to make a new necklace. I become lost in a dream like world as I look at all the beautiful polished rocks that came from the Earth and the Sea. I thank the Great Spirit for this gift. As the rest of life speeds by.

Prayers for Our Children

A friend of mine on facebook posted me and asked me to make a necklace for the children of the world who are born into a world where there is terrorism. So I did. As I was making this necklace I thought about how the human race has a long way to go before there is peace. Some say it is human nature to hate and to kill. My only answer is prayer.
Here is the necklace. It is made from Blue Sky Jasper and Coconut wood.
It is for sale at:
Prayers for Our Children

Peace begins with each of us. If we are open minded and tolerant. If we are forgiving and loving. We teach our children to love. We pray that others do the same.

Survivor Necklace

The "Survivor Necklace" is part of my Breast Cancer Awareness collection.
My prayer today is that more women survive. My next door neighbor died from breast cancer 50 years ago. She was a mother to 8 children, the youngest was 2.
This necklace is made from Rainbow Fluorite and Rose Quartz.

Elemental Earth Necklace

My friend Te Rama sent me this New Zealand Green Stone pendant and I made it into a necklace I call it Elemental Earth Necklace.
Green Stone is also known as Nephrite Jade. Jade is an ancient stone used to attract love. I used some light Jade beads and chips to go with it. The red nuggets are Agate.
Thank you Te Rama
when we are centered we can travel in many directions.

Protector Necklace.

This is one of the first necklaces I made. I had found a dead turtle on the beach and I took the shell and peeled off the scales. I then made a walnut pendant in the shape of a shield and glued the turtle shell onto it.
The necklace is very bright and cheerful. Lots of colors. I am reminded of the frame of mind I was in when I made this necklace and it reflects in the colors I used.

I'm thinking about the times I have taken a necklace apart because I don't like what I am thinking when I am making it. It doesn't happen often but I feel it is important that my thoughts and prayers are positive and loving. It's a good check point to figure out if anything is bothering me. Does that make any sense?

Summer of Peace

It's been a good summer for me so far. A bit hot, and a bit dry, but emotionally I have been very peaceful. No "drama". I like it that way. This necklace is for sale, but I made it as if it were to be mine for keeps. The truth is I have too many necklaces already and most of the time I don't wear a necklace at all. Chrysanthemum stone is a very "earthy" stone. I love it. Chrysanthemum helps us to visualize our true purpose in life. It also gives us the courage to live our dreams. This necklace has one orange Mother of Pearl bead. Mother of Pearl is said to attract love. Hmm, maybe I will be wearing this one.

Waiting.......

I haven't had my camera for 3 weeks now. After dropping it in my ice tea one day I sent it off to be fixed or replaced by the Geek Squad. They say it's in the mail. Waiting....
I really depend on my camera for taking pictures of my necklaces and posting them on my website. I have made close to twenty necklaces since drowning my Cannon. I put 11 of them in a separate box. Once I can get pictures of them I will put all 11 on one page and they will all be on sale. $33 a piece. I also plan to have a new necklace contest. "Name the Necklace". The person who makes up the best name for the necklace will get it sent to them for free. I already have the necklace picked out. It is African Jade, Moss Agate and wood. The "Mad Hatter" will be on the loose.
Blue Angel Necklace
The necklace pictured above is on my website for sale. It has always been one of my favorite. The blue crystal glass beads are such a beautiful color. And I love the way they mix with the Coconut Wood. Since I can't take new pictures I am revisiting some of my old pictures. This next necklace is a Dream Chaser. The Dream Chaser Necklaces have three strands of beads. One for the past, one for the future and one for the "here and now". We can't change the past and we don't know the future. But in the present moment we can control our thoughts. If we choose to pray and be forgiving and loving in this moment we can become happier and our dreams can come true. In a state of love the only dream we care about is having that love returned. We can walk in the light. We are never alone.
The rectangular brown beads above are Tiger Skin Jasper.

What's different about my jewelry?

My necklaces stem from humble beginnings. I am a furniture builder by trade. When I need a bedroom set I build it. It was only natural for me when I wanted a necklace to wear that I go and buy beads and string. Then, being a man, I didn't want any glitz. And of course wood was a preferred bead. I felt immediately the therapeutic value in beading and here I am today two years later. I have done nothing special except pray and follow what I believe has been the Great Spirit's guide. I still feel my necklaces reflect a humble, down to earth element. The use of earth tones, wood and recycled copper mixed with some of the more beautiful and meaningful gems that celebrate Mother's love.
